Here's my drawing, made with the help of my tutor! I'm so excited to start working on my own project next. This kind of work calls for motivation, patience, and attention to detail.

To complete the project, I'm starting with three key steps:

  1. Forming the structure

  2. Refining the features

  3. Using light and shadow to create a sense of depth and 3D form

We joked that we were makeup artists and hair stylists at the same time. And I truly understand how it's the attention to detail that truly brings a drawing to life.




PS. The model for this drawing is an actor (So Ji-Sub) from a Korean drama (Sorry, I love you) I watched when I was little though I don't remember much about the show anymore. But I still often listen to its OST, and every time I do, I get excited over again by how cool he was.

Chuyện của Ngân: a beautiful reminder of true love

Luckily, I finished my third book in March, keeping up with my goal of reading 12 books a year. As I mentioned in an earlier post , I decided to buy Chuyện của Ngân after reading her Blog about her love story. Her love story is as pink as the book's cover --- something she also affirms in her writing. She met the right person at the very beginning of her love journey. This book is a must-read for those who want to believe in love --- not the kind found on screens or fairy tales, but love that is real, simple, and full of small, beautiful moments. However, I noticed that the book doesn't explore the early stages of her love story as much as her blog did, which I personally found more captivating. Perhaps it's something she intended to keep special for her Blog.
