Little things #26 Go to the cinema and homemade popcorn

#103. Go to the cinema and homemade popcorn

My friend and I went to the cinema to watch a movie. I had the idea of making popcorn myself and secretly bringing it in. And I actually did it. Mission completeed LOL.

#104. They said that she looked like me

I remember when I was in high school, some of my friends excitedly told me that an actress from a Thai movie looked like me. I felt really supprised and excited hearing that especially because she was an actress. Out of curiosity, I watched the movie, A Little Thing Called Love, which became one of the first Thai films I had ever seen.

And yes, there was a bit of similarity for real.
We both had deep brown skin that stood out among our peers. There was also that innocent side, mixed with a little “craziness” at least from other people's point of view.

I don't remember all the details of the movie now, but I do know that I'm not completely like her. I didn't have a crush on anyone in high school, and I didn't get a happy ending as quickly as in the movie. I am on my way, though LOL

#105. More pieces from questions in Little things #103.

1. Which chess piece, when it stands close, the king cannot move close to?

2. Which piece, when it gives check, must either be captured or the king must move because no other piece can block it?”

Answers:

1. The enemy King

In chess, two kings can never stand next to each other (on adjacent squares).
That would put both kings in check at the same time, which is illegal.

2. Pawns

If a pawn checks a king from an adjacent square, it cannot be blocked.
