If doing this is wrong, I don't want to be right
If being myself is wrong, I don't want to be right.
Honestly,
I don't want to be right when I am eager to follow my dreams.
I don't want to be right when I carry the purest belief.
I don't want to be right when I trust someone as deeply as I trust myself.
I don't want to be right when I am kind and help others.
I don't want to be right when I see life as simple.
I don't want to be right when I am emotional
I don't want to be right when I cherish the past with nostalgia.
I don't want to be right when I am curious, asking lots of questions.
I don't want to be right when I am different.
I don't want to be right when I move at my own pace.
I don't want to be right if finding joy in little things makes me happy
I don't want to be right when I am sensitive
I don't want to be right when I feel deeply.
I don't want to be right when I take the time to learn to love myself - so I can truly love others.
But the wisdom life has taught me:
Follow dreams, but with careful preparation.
Pure belief alone is not enough - rise after every fall.
Trust takes time to build, and at the same time, don't place too many expectations on others.
Be kind and help others who truly deserve it.
Not everything is as simple as it seems - adapt and grow.
Emotions enrich your life, don't let them hold you back.
The past will always be yours, but the future can be even more beautiful.
Be curious and seek answers with intention and efficiency.
Be different, but discover your uniqueness - and make it count.
Move at your own pace, but make every step worthwhile.
As long as you are happy, that's enough
Sensitivity is a privilege
Feeling deeply is your strength.
Loving yourself is the best thing you can do for yourself.
And in the end, you were never wrong to be yourself.
PS. Loving yourself is different from being self-centered.
