Hello 2022!

Image
Merry Christmas and Happy new year 2022 to you all!!! First of all,  I wish the best to all of you Secondly,  I wish Coronavirus infection is going to better and our life is back to normal soon as it used to be. Looking back in 2021, the year of changes, although I underwent huge difficulties, I took massive valuable and necessary lessons in all aspects of life. This year also can be seen that I had so much free time ever. I, therefore, learn several new skills and I created a quarantine youtube channel, my own google site, and my English is improved significantly compared to previous years, and this blog has been updated. Still, there is no big achievement, but I constantly continue to do what I believe in and dream of.  Goodbye, a memorable 2021 of mine.  PS.  This is me in 2021. Hello, 2022! I am going to make it the best year ever!!! Nghe An, December 24, 2021

English songs look like Korean ones

It means it is very romantic :) :) Somehow, it is a slight difference with other English songs like containing quite many words?? That is just my opinion. Oops!!! Anyway, the songs are fantastic. Give them a try. How could I How am I supposed to live without you Beautiful By the way, mentioning music, I am a big fan of music. I totally, completely admire songwriters who are talented and really creative. For example: Sia, Lady Gaga, Alan Walker, etc., and numerous Vietnamese as well. This post is written randomly, but of course, my feeling about the above songs lasts for a long time ago. I just incidentally remember and note it down.  P.S   I love writing the blog because it not only allows me to write whatever I want systematically, but I don't have to experience instant responses from friends as Facebook or Instagram and the number of likes or comments, either. I can edit or supplement later on as well. Unlike the Fb and Ins which you somehow have to show something like beaut...

It is also my doubt in the very beginning

Hi my sweeties, how are you all? Click the link below for the details IELTS Advice: band 9 essays IELTS Advice: good writing looks easy (but it isn't) Luckily, he got the student's question and answered on his site. The thing is that Simon's essay samples seem quite easy to follow, not overwhelmed at the first look, however, all of them are in band 9 for IELTS Writing. It is only in the quick look. In fact, it is not simple like it sounds. If you practice with his essay, you probably need more extra practice to be able to reach that like topic vocabulary, ideas, coherence, or grammar. But at least, it doesn't frustrate us with difficult languages which are introduced by other IELTS teachers. I just wanna give up right away :D :D P.S "Easy to follow" means "you can do it" Isn't it so inspiring? Many thanks to  Simon. I started with IELTS quite late when his blog almost stopped updating. The moment he announced he formally have a break. I was real...

I was wrong - English Improvement (Continued!)

In the English Improvement post, I mentioned that the  biggest improvement I'm chasing now is that I am able to turn into another voice in Speaking skills. I spent quite a long time mimicking other voices. It turned out that my tone still maintain more or less. And it is not going like the voice I want. I then listened to both Vietnamese and English of Vietnamese people who are very good at English. Probably, their voices don't change much, either. Also probably, they are good at English because they are good at pronunciation (master at tough sounds such as "r", "l"), fluency, nature intonation, and so on. I then search some interesting videos such as Why you don't like the sound of your own voice , Why you don't like to hear your own voice . Maybe it is true that I am not satisfied with my own voice.  Everyone has his or her own unique voice to distinguish one another.  I concluded that I should focus on things more important and necessary such as ...

I let it go

I like meaningful conversations with friends, music concerts, or other social activities. But I am inclined to be an introvert.  I feel overwhelmed when chatting with people who don't listen to me or topics that don't fit with me. It makes me feel like I am not who I am. I find it so hard to express my feelings too.  For example, I cannot display my feeling naturally at my birthday party with some people not too familiar. I just wanna fade away.  I often observe things deeply and feel fear of missing something if there is a distraction. So I tend to do alone rather than with people who don't get along with me It drains my energy and the main reason for it all is overthinking. Luckily, I found out what I should do. I  cannot fit with everyone and all conversations.  Be yourself. Be confident. Don't think too much what others think about you.  Just take it easy.   I sometimes think about people who express themself easily and naturally and just wanna be ...

Little things #7

Image
Hello there. To me, I like  Little things   the most among my topics. Personally, these little help me to do big things :))  20. Global Citizen I think it is better for young generations to get more concerned about the world such as  history, politics,  w orld organizations, etc by searching information, knowing what organizations are for, reading world news,... In this modern world with the growth of social media, information is widely available. Daily newspaper reading is still a good habit. 21. Show yourself and promote your work. I spent quite a long time finding out how people introduce, promote, and advertise themselves or sell themselves in other words. I realized s howing up ourselves is far better than not. Silence is not always good especially in terms of contribution to society. Perhaps, this is the biggest lesson I learn this year. 22. It's nothing wrong to follow trends I am not able to catch up with trends like friends my age such as songs, films, ...

Tips Tips Tipsssss

Hi.  I only study Cambridge books with Simon's website. I highly recommend this website. I follow his strategy that is simple but to get a high score :))  There are massive tips and tricks you could find on the internet. It seems too general to me. And obviously, there are no tips that can make you improve magically for a short time. It totally depends on your consistent practice to find a way to crack the exam on your own. However, it is still necessary to know useful tips of those who experienced the real exam or preparation to be able to achieve more quickly a high score. My IELTS materials will be shared in another post. Here are some tips for IELTS takers, to me, not general at all.  By contrast, it is extremely detailed which helps me to enhance during IELTS preparation.    LISTENING To get a high mark in IELTS Listening, there are there main things to focus - Understand - Traps - Spelling - Plural or single 1) Understand - Listen to a lot of contexts 2) T...
